I rather enjoy Scalia's humor from the bench, but when he indulges in the kind of sophistry he did in the Youngblood case, I despair for the state of justice. It would seem to me the purpose of justice is to convict the guilty and free the innocent. That does not seem to be the rationale behind Scalia's arguments.
